Rain forces India-Sri Lanka to share the 2002 ICC Champions Trophy:

In cricket, comical things have had taken place, and one of the exciting facets could be seen as a sharing of a trophy. Back in 2002 ICC Champions Trophy final, Sri Lanka wrestled with India on two days on a trot when the rain stopped play.
Batting first, the Lankans managed to post 244 for five. However, India were 14 for no loss before resuming their play on the reserve day.
Furthermore, the game kicked-off again with Sri Lanka managing to post 227 for seven before India scored 28 for one. However, the skies opened up, which eventually resulted in a washout of the grand finale. Thus, it has forced both teams to share the trophy after 110.4 overs were bowled in the space of two days.
In simpler terms, it could be said that two finals were held on two days without any result.
