Marnus Labuschagne is the accidental hero of the Australian team who gets in the team as a replacement but fortunately, gets a permanent place in the team. He gathered the most number of runs in 2019 in Test cricket.
During the Ashes 2019, he gets in as the concussion substitute for Steve Smith, performed magnificently, scoring 353 runs in seven innings. He struck the most number of the fifties in that series. Best was still to come from his bat, he went on to score centuries against Pakistan and New Zealand. He scored his first Test double century against Kiwis leading to set the big totals.
Now, he is a master of consistently scoring runs for his team. He should be awarded the Test cricketer of 2019 because of his tremendous rise in this format.
