Five Players Who Missed Out on Selection for the Sri Lanka Series 1

The Indian squad for the limited overs series in Sri Lanka was elected on Sunday and the selectors made some bold moves.

Though the chairman of selectors, MSK Prasad made it clear that the seniors who have not been included in the squad hasn’t been dropped and have been rested. He also clarified the fact that they will be sticking with a set of players for the next 4-5 months and rotate between to identify the best possible combination going into the 2019 World Cup which will be played in less than two years time.

Former captain MS Dhoni retained his place, though Prasad said that if he doesn’t perform they might have to look for alternatives in the future tours. There were a few names who were omitted from the squad. So let us have a look at the five players who missed out on the selection.
