The veteran Indian discard was a utility player, but he has probably lost a charm. This year he was bought for 3.50 crore by Gujarat Lions. The Gujarat Lions booked the playoff berth but Praveen Kumar failed to impress on an individual note. As a bowler, he stands at 22^nd position in 14 matches. In the group stage matches, he took only nine wickets at a costly average of 37.44 and conceded 337 runs. The next season will be difficult for him as he may go unsold.
