Sourav Ganguly:
Former Indian captain has a huge fan following in India. He is now a respected cricket administrator in Kolkata. Ganguly led India to many laurels like most number of Test match victory on overseas tours and in the 2003 World Cup final. He is a very unlucky captain, but people loved him a lot because of his left-handed cover drive and aggressive brand of approach to the game. The prince of Kolkata was dropped from the Indian team in 2005 when Greg Chappell was the coach of the team, but people never wanted him out of the team.
Ganguly made a comeback in the team and performed well for India, but retired in 2008. He is now the head of the technical committee of BCCI. Yes, t is not possible for him to play cricket regularly, but his fans still love to watch him playing. Last year he played at All-Star Cricket League in the USA. It is all fantasy and dreams about you favourite player and Ganguly is hugely acclaimed cricketer in India.
