MS Dhoni clearly remains the greatest wicketkeeper to have played the game, and his mind boggling numbers in the ODI’s, speak for themselves.
In the first week of January this year, Dhoni relieved himself of captaincy, to enjoy solely as a keeper batsman and to prolong his career. So far, Dhoni has had a tremendous year indeed, amassing runs with ease.
Apart from that though, the former skipper has also enjoyed wicketkeeping and created a world record in the final ODI against Sri Lanka recently.
When he stumped Akila Dananjaya off Yuzvendra Chahal, Dhoni became the first keeper in the game’s history to get to 100 ODI stumpings, a precious feat indeed.
