- Virat Kohli Becoming the Quickest to 15,000 International Runs:
As said earlier, 2017 in so many ways has been the year of Virat Kohli. Breaking record after record, the Indian captain remains in a league of his own. Against Sri Lanka in the one-off T20I at Colombo a couple of nights ago, the Indian skipper brought up his 15,000 career international runs for himself, across the three forms of the game.
However, that wasn’t the end of it alone, as Kohli became the quickest batsman to get there, as he got to the mark in just 333 innings, bettering the tally of Hashim Amla, who got there in three more innings.
Apart from that, Kohli remains the only batsman to have 15,000 international runs and average more than 50.
