Makhaya Ntini generated a lot of bounce with his fast round-arm action. The right-arm fast bowler’s in-dippers looked deadly on seaming wickets. Ntini bowled with a lot of control on slow wickets, mixing his deliveries quite well.
Ntini would adapt to any conditions which stand as the prime reason why he was quite successful in the Indian sub-continent. His fast full-length deliveries would often create problems on pacy wickets. Like Donald, Ntini hit the deck hard and would surprise the batsman with the bounce he extracted even on slow wickets.
Although the 43-year-old started as a new-ball bowler, the right-arm fast bowler started to operate well in the slog overs too. Ntini took 390 wickets in 101 Tests and 266 wickets in 173 One Day Internationals.
