# 4 Jacques Kallis:

Five South African Bowlers Who Made an Impact on Proteas Cricket Since 1990s 1

Jacques Kallis will be remembered as one of the greatest all-rounders South Africa has ever produced. Kallis was comfortable while bowling in middle overs when the wickets tend to get slower. Kallis outsmarted the batsmen with his clever seam movements and used the slower deliveries cleverly.

The all-rounder would create problems for the batsmen with his smart outswingers in swinging conditions. The 44-year-old used his cutters to good effect even though the wickets were favourable for batting.

On the other hand, his batting records in both forms of cricket (Test matches and One Day Internationals) speaks about the class the burly all-rounder possessed. Kallis took 292 wickets in 166 test matches and 273 wickets in 328 One Day internationals.
