It is absolutely amazing to see a bowler generate so much speed while swinging the ball. Dale Steyn would floor the best batting line-ups on his day with his accelerating and quick bouncers. Steyn would generate a lot of bounce on any surface with his pace and fast action.
Steyn also looked penetrative in seaming conditions and would swing the ball both ways quite efficiently. The 37-year-old was precise with his line and length. Steyn has toppled the best batting line ups single-handedly with his bounce and express pace.
Steyn’s retirement will be a big blow for the Proteas. Steyn took 439 wickets in 93 Tests and 196 wickets in 125 One-day Internationals.
