Yet another record from the Lions, Sri Lanka once again produced a moment of sheer brilliance in the group stage of the T20 World Cup in 2014. Having been drawn with Netherlands, one of the weakest teams in that year’s competition, Sri Lanka had no mercy what so ever for their opponents.

They won the toss, chose to field and finished the first innings in just 10.3 overs as the Dutchmen were all out for an embarrassing 39. Mathews and Mendis picked three each on the night while Dilshan and Jayawardene were there to finish off the game in the 5th over. They chased down the target in just 30 balls and created yet another record for the biggest winning margin in terms of the number of balls left.
