He plonked 6 sixes off Stuart Broad’s bowling and took India to a crunch semi-final against Australia.
He came into bat after the fall of 3 wickets and was at it straight away. He took apart Broad in that over, scored another 3 boundaries and a six apart from that over and scored 58 runs in just 14 balls taking India’s score above 200. He reached his half-century off just 12 balls, 9 of which were boundaries and then followed it up with another maximum before holding out in the deep to end one of the best T20 batting performances ever.
