- T20 Cricket:-

As they say, the only thing which is constant is change. The fans around the world were not satisfied with ODI’s as they needed something more explosive, something more entertaining and that is how the T20 format happened. It was first introduced by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in 2003 for the Inter-County Competition.
Some cricket pundits opposed this format at the beginning saying it’s not real cricket or pure cricket. Especially the Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) opposed the introduction of World T20 in 2007.
However, India eventually went onto win it that too after the disastrous 2007 World Cup exit. Things changed quickly. The introduction of IPL in 2008 saw dramatic changes in cricket. Today there are so many T20 leagues happening around the world throughout the year.
And if cricket is introduced in Olympics in future it might well be in T20 format. The T20 cricket had enormous influence on the game.
