The Singer Cup game of 1994 in Colombo, played between India and Australia would definitely be counted among the more historic games of all time. The reason behind it, was simple indeed, as it marked the first ODI century of the ever magnanimous Sachin Tendulkar. Opening the innings, Tendulkar was simply flawless against his favourite opposition and on a typical Colombo wicket, brought up his maiden ODI ton. This, was just the beginning of Tendulkar’s dominance in ODI’s, as the Master Blaster followed it up with another 48 three figure knocks. The game was easily won by India in the end.
