Continuing his red-hot form in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Jos Buttler scored a stunning match-winning century in the second Qualifier.
The England superstar scored an unbeaten century as Rajasthan Royals beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by 7 wickets to storm into the final of the IPL 2022.
The inaugural winners of the league will now take on Gujarat Titans in the title-decider. The Royals have not won the title since the first-ever season of IPL in 2008. This will be also their second appearance in the final since 2008.
Jos Buttler leads Royals to the final:
Bowling first, Rajasthan Royals bowlers did a fine job to restrict RCB to a modest total. RCB were riding high on confidence after scoring more than 200 runs in the Eliminator.
However, the Royals bowler led by Prasidh Krishna’s 3-wicket haul managed to restrict RCB to 157 for 8 in the allotted 20 overs. In-form Rajat Patidar once again top-scored for his team, scoring 58 off 42 balls. Apart from Krishna, Obed McCoy also picked up three wickets for his team.
From thereon, it was Jos Buttler show. The batting star gave the Royals a solid start and did not look back. He and Yashasvi Jaiswal added61 runs off just 31 balls for the first wicket to set the platform.
Sanju Samson and Devdutt Padikkal could not really deliver with the bat but it did not matter much as Buttler took care of the innings. He single-handedly batted RCB out of the match.
WHAT. A. WIN for @rajasthanroyals! ? ?

The hard-hitting batsman slammed an unbeaten 106 as Royals chased down the total with 11 balls remaining. Buttler’s knock came off 60 balls and was studded with 10 fours and 6 sixes.
The latest century is his fourth in the competition. He also became only the third player after Virat Kohli and David Warner to score more than 800 runs in a single IPL season.
Cricket fraternity salutes Jos Buttler:
The cricket fraternity has been busy praising Buttler for his latest knock. Soon after the match ended, past as well as present cricketers took to their social media accounts to laud the England star.
