Former team India selectors Gagan Khoda and Jatin Paranjpe might get their salaries from January to September, even when they have been not the part of the panel since January early this year.

As per a report in TOI, the Committee of Administrators (COA) has cleared the payments of these two former national selectors, and they will be paid their salaries until September. The report also adds that they might get paid even after September as BCCI hasn’t yet called for AGM and the MSK Prasad led selection committee is set to get an extension until next AGM of BCCI.
BCCI does not withdraw the contracts of Khoda and Paranjpe, and hence, these two are in contention to receive their payments post-September as well.
It is to be noted that both the former national selectors were removed from the selection panel in January as they did not represent India in Test cricket. As per the Lodha recommendations, a player should have played Test cricket to be a national selector and apart from that, recommendations wanted the selection to be cut from five members to three.

Since only these two had not played Test cricket for India, the selection committee was automatically trimmed from five members to three, thus rest of the selectors retaining their place.
However, BCCI could have retained the services of these two till date as it was a sudden decision which came out of nowhere and these could have served the selection panel for long.
At present, the selection panel comprises of Chairman MSK Prasad who has Sarandeep Singh and Devang Gandhi as his two colleagues. As of now, all the members of the committee have been given an extension, and the new selection committee will be decided in the next AGM of BCCI, as the process stands.
