2011 was the last year that Munaf Patel, the fast bowler featured in international cricket. Nevertheless, he had a brilliant outing in the 2011 World Cup, where he collected 11 wickets in eight games. Despite his performance in the World Cup, opportunities fell short for Patel to continue his international run.

The pacer had a short career of five years which began in 2006. The 36-year-old bagged 35 wickets, at an average of 38.54 in 13 Test matches.

In ODIs, the right-arm pacer has 70 caps and 86 wickets at an average of 30.26. He hasn’t got many chances in the shortest format, as he played just three matches for India, and collected four wickets.

However, his amazing performance in the World Cup could not give him more chances. Currently, the 36-year-old serves as a coach for Vadodara.
