During the Australia’s five-match Test tour to India in 1969, Indian skipper Mansur Ali Khan was again at the helm, as he went to use 10 bowlers against Bill Lawry-led Australia.

In the fourth innings, while repeating the 1964’s England Test match in Chennai, Pataudi tried his luck with the ball alongside nine other players except for the wicket-keeper batsman Farokh Engineer.

In the fourth innings, Australia scored 95 for no loss in 44 overs, as during the game Pataudi sent down an over alongside other four players, in a bid to unsettle resolute Australia openers in the form of Larry and Keith Stackpole.
