1.KL Rahul:

Last year, the right-hand batsman had a poor outing against the West Indies when the Men in Blue landed on Carribean shores. Thus, KL Rahul was dropped from the Test team at the start of the home series.
However, his snub from the longest format has acted as a booster in the white-ball cricket. Rahul has come out as a prolific batter as well as the first choice as wicketkeeper in the contemporary cricket.
In the recently-concluded T20I series against New Zealand, he scored 224 runs in the five matches at an average of 56. The wicketkeeper-batsman also scored two half-centuries. Therefore, he was awarded the Man of the Series.
After batting as an opener in the T20I series, he was given to play the role of a finisher in the ongoing three-match ODI series. In the first ODI match, he missed the century, scoring unbeaten 88 runs. He struck three fours and six maximums.
Thus, it puts the question in front of the team management over in-form Rahul’s snub from the Test squad. He deserved to be the part of the Test squad for New Zealand Tests.
