Marcus Stoinis – Still in early days of his international career, Stoinis has signs of being a responsible and reliant player right from the start.
Playing just his second ODI, during the opening game of Richard-Hadlee Trophy 2017, he alone carried his team to the doorstep of victory – chasing 287 – by playing an innings of 146*.
It was a run-out that saw Australia failing to finish the job, but Stoinis earned praises for his superb show with the bat.
The 29-year-old has played 49 first-class and 50 List A games and has enough experience of playing the game that he can lead a team.
