To nobody’s surprise, England’s openers have performed well in the series so far. Keeping their reputation alive, the pair of Alastair Cook and Haseeb Hameed has shown their class in between the four innings they have batted in.

By presenting the right face of the bat on the right time, dodging the good balls and smashing the bad ones to boundaries, these two Englishmen have made their presence felt in the middle.

In the fourth innings of the Vizag Tests, Cook & Hameed stood for long as 50 overs and showed glimpses of grit and resilience to deny India a win but eventually failed in the end.

Their stint at the crease was all but impressing and did buy some laurels from across the cricketing globe too.
