Gautam Gambhir Delivers Special Message To ‘Birthday Boy’ MS Dhoni 1

It’s day of grand celebration for the Indian cricket fraternity and the fans as beloved MS Dhoni celebrates his 36th birthday.

The former Indian skipper has been flooded with hearty wishes on the social media.

People are currently on a tweeting spree and Facebook has been flooded with good wishes for the legendary former skipper who has the unique record of winning all the ICC trophies for India.

Almost every A-lister sent in their wishes.

This special occasion also saw few misunderstandings get buried.

Among the huge cluster prominent names, there was also Gautam Gambhir who broke the stereotype of a ‘Dhoni-critic’ built around him. The former India opener wished his former skipper and also send regards to his family.

Here is what he tweeted:

Happy Birthday @msdhoni Give my regards to the family. God bless

Gambhir was a vital part of MS Dhoni’s side that won the 2007 World T20 and the 2011 Cricket World Cup. The left hander was the batting mainstay and led the charge in the batting department for his skipper. Both MS Dhoni and Gambhir share a less than cordial relationship.

However, Gambhir, as well as Dhoni both, have made efforts to quash rumours that have spread among fans. This latest tweet is just another testimonial that both have a friendly nature to each other.

Professionally speaking, Gambhir’s journey at the international level seems as good as over. He failed to regain a regular place in the side despite making a couple comebacks in the side in the last two seasons. However, the Delhi-lad surely has a lot of cricket left in him. His contribution for his IPL side Kolkata Knight Riders, both as the skipper and player, has been outstanding.

MS Dhoni, on the other hand, has also entered the twilight of his career with his batting prowess slowly waning. He hasn’t turned into a completely absolete member of the side but the sky high expectations are bogging him down at the moment as fans and critics both refuse to settle down for anything less than extraordinary from him every time he comes out to bat.
