Veteran India cricketer Gautam Gambhir aims to create more space for the current team on the occasion of the 11th anniversary of World T20 champions.
Meanwhile, 11 years ago on this day, team India under the leadership of MS Dhoni lifted the coveted trophy. Moreover, Gambhir had played an excellent knock of 75 runs off just 54 balls in the final of World T20.
However, Gautam Gambhir wants to give space to the current team who has been in the superb form in the ongoing Asia Cup 2018. They have already booked a spot in the final beating Pakistan in the Super Four clash.
On the other hand, India had gone on to win the first World T20. Gambhir had played a key role as he hammered eight boundaries and two sixes in his knock in the final. Meanwhile, Irfan Pathan was the star of the show in the pinnacle clash picking three wickets giving only 16 runs.

Gautam Gambhir aims to focus in the present
The southpaw shared his thoughts on the prestigious occasion. While everybody remained etched in the past, Gambhir was keen to create space for the current team.
“While I am proud of the yesterday of 2007 (on left) but the fact is it was 11 years ago. I’d like to create more space for guys who are doing a fantastic job today (on the right), the class of 2018 @BCCI,” he tweeted.
