The fans are congratulating Maxwell after the duo shared a picture on their official handles. Cricket Australia also posted a photo of the lovely couple on its official Twitter account, congratulating them on their engagement.

Last year, Maxwell had taken a break from the game because he was suffering from mental health issues. After he recovered, he opened up that her girlfriend had supported him.

“It was actually my girlfriend (Vini)…who suggested I speak to someone…she was the first person who noticed it. Once I’d had that initial conversation it was a big relief off my shoulders,”

Meanwhile, on the cricketing front, Maxwell has surfaced an elbow injury which ruled him out of Australia’s limited-overs tour to South Africa. His injury has also led to the speculations of his ouster from the upcoming 13 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Maxwell was bought by Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in the IPL 2020 auction for INR 10.75 crore. The cricketer will be looking to soon make a comeback and would be aiming to earn a place in the ICC T20 World Cup 2020.
