Former Australian cricketer Glenn McGrath picks the best bowler and best batsman of the contemporary cricket. As expected he picked t Jasprit Bumrah as the best bowler and the Indian skipper Virat Kohli as the best batsman.
The yorker king Bumrah, who remained out of the action in the last year’s home season, had made the comeback with the start of 2020. Bumrah had an impeccable outing in the ongoing series against New Zealand.

The legendary cricketer McGrath praised his unique style of bowling action. He also added South African youngster Kagiso Rabada’s name in the list of best bowlers.
“Bumrah is quite a unique bowler. He doesn’t have a long run-up like a lot of fast bowlers have. But he has got good pace, incredible control, and the right attitude,” McGrath said here a special event during the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting week at Davos.
On Rabada he said, “this South African bowler Rabada is an amazing bowler, I’m a big fan of his”.

While former Australian pacer, who has played 250 ODIs and 124 Tests, decided to leave all the Australian bowlers from the list as he labels all of them as ‘great’.
“I’m leaving Australian bowlers out of this list as I feel they all are great,” he said when asked to pick the best cricketers of today’s generation.
Smith And Kohli best batsman: Glenn McGrath
McGrath compared the batting style of the Australian cricketer Steve Smith and an aggressive player like Virat Kohli. While he admitted that both the players are best in their own way.
“Smith is a little bit unique, he is a little strange, he is not normal, but has got a great hand and eye coordination. Technically, he is not a textbook batsman, but the way he bats is amazing.

“On the other hand, there is Kohli. He is a class player and is very technically correct. He is a little bit unusual and very aggressive on the filed especially as Indian captain, but he is a class player,” McGrath said.
Meanwhile, in the recently ended three-match ODI series against Australia, India had won the series with 2-1.
Currently, the Men in Blue are busy playing the T20I series against New Zealand where India has the lead of 2-0.
