Fakhar Zaman wants to prove his worth to Pakistan selectors and coaches after he has been recalled in the team for the England tour. Last year, he had tough times in the field against Sri Lanka and Australia in the T20I series. He could not reach the double-digit figure in both the series. Also, in the World Cup 2019, he was not at his best in the field. So, in the upcoming series, he wants to regain the trust of the team management.

Pakistan will tour England to play three-match Test and T20I series in August. 29 players with 14 staff members will land several weeks before the series began to follow quarantine period. Zaman, who will also travel there, doesn’t want to miss this opportunity to cement his place in the team. He wishes to make a notable contribution in the tour to led the team to victory.

“There is always pressure at every level.  But I always ensure that at whichever level I play at, I don’t let it affect me. My goal now is to gain my permanent spot back with my performance. Irrespective of whether I score 15-20 or a fifty or a century, I hope it helps Pakistan in that match,” Zaman told reporters.

“In a T20 you don’t plan much, but I hope to show the selectors that I belong to this level and that I can play for long for Pakistan,” Fakhar Zaman added.
