Virat Kohli was at his best in the 2014 tour of Australia. He scored two masterful back to back centuries, but the team could not live up to the expectations. Additionally, he was leading the team as the captain.
After racking up 115 in the first innings, Kohli followed it with a masterly 141 off 175 balls in the succeeding innings to spearhead the run-chase of 362 on the final day.
But after he lost his wicket, India derailed in front of the strong bowling line up. India lost their last eight-wicket for 73 runs which was a disappointing performance for the team.
