Virender Sehwag certainly knows how to tickle the funny bone. The former India opener, who is one of the most active social media users in the cricketing fraternity, has carved his own niche on Twitter with his witty and funny posts. Not the one to shy away from making bold comments, the Nawab of Najafgarh never hesitates from trolling others.
This time, it was Kings XI Punjab’s new recruit Ishant Sharma’s turn to face Sehwag’s troll. The India fast-bowler, who went unsold at the auction in February, was picked by Kings XI Punjab just a day before the start of the tournament. And the lanky pacer was welcomed by Sehwag, who is the head of cricket operations for the Punjab-based franchise, in the most Sehwag-style ever.
Posting a picture of Ishant Sharma’s facial expressing which he made to mock Steve Smith during the Border-Gavaskar series, Sehwag asked everyone to welcome the new player by making a similar face.
:“Welcoming the Hairy&Slightly distorted Burj Khalifa @ImIshant to the @lionsdenkxip family.Plz Welcome him by making such a face wherever u r,” Sehwag tweeted.

The tweet did not go unnoticed by Ishant who asked Sehwag to make the same face when he arrives for practice.
Thanks paaji !!! And first you have to make the same expression tomorrow in the practice session 😜 https://t.co/hTZTPtC9sq

To that, Sehwag replied:“That’s the difference Burj Khalifa ji.We have to “Make” that expression. Making that expression itself is a practice session.”

Earlier, the Delhi pacer had revealed how Sehwag played a big role in securing the bowler an IPL deal. There was a vacancy in the Kings XI Punjab squad after their opening batsman Murali Vijay was ruled out of the season following an injury and Sehwag decided to approach his former India teammate through a phone call.
“He (Viru Bhai) called me and asked whether I was doing something or not. That was when I was first approached. I just want to play. It didn’t matter whether it was IPL or county. All I want to do is play good cricket for KXIP and win games,” Ishant had said.
Meanwhile, the runners-up of 2014 season will start their campaign against Rising Pune Supergiant on April 8 in Indore.
