Hanuma Vihari gave a remarkable performance in recent West Indies tour where he made his first Test century. A match before, he was not able to get a century as he was out on 93. But both performances have impressed everyone. The senior players are supporting the young player. His performance in the Test match will fix his place in the further Test matches.
Hanuma Vihari shared his view to Times Of India in an interview about his journey from a domestic cricket player to international player.

When asked about MSK Prasad support, Vihari expressed his gratitude towards the Chief Selector who is also from Andhra. He said whenever MSK sir meets him, they both talk about the future of Andhra cricket.
“It was MSK sir who called me and offered (me) a place in the Andhra Team. When we meet even today, we talk about cricket in Andhra and building the team there,” vihari said.

Vihari’s mother backed him
The batsman shared the dark phase of his life. He has to go through a lot when his father was not with him. He thanked his mother who always supported him to become the cricketer after the financial problem also. Hanuma Vihari got the full support from his coaching academy but first 4 to 5 years were a tough time for the player. It was hard for him to adjust his passion with studies.
“It was a difficult phase. We moved to Hyderabad after my father passed It was a difficult period financially, adjusting to a bigger city. The academy (St. Johns) I went to, they offered me full support. They never took fees for my coaching, but the first four-five years were difficult. It was tough to balance my studies and cricket. It was tough to balance my studies and cricket,” vihari said.
Earlier in an interview, Vihari had given a statement that his father would be proud of him after he hit his first Test century.
