Veteran Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh became a proud father on Wednesday (July 27), after his wife Geeta Basra gave birth to a baby girl.

The news was confirmed by Bhajji’s mother Avtar Kaur to Hindi news daily Dainik Bhaskar. However, the couple has not revealed anything yet.

Geeta Basra, who is known for her role in the Bollywood film The Train, delivered the child at a London hospital. Harbhajan’s mother confirmed that both the mother and the newborn are perfectly healthy.

The couple tied the knot on October 29 last year, after dating for five years. The news of Geeta’s pregnancy became public when she flaunted her baby bump for the first time in June at her lavish baby shower event .

Meanwhile, the Turbanotor is currently out of the Indian team. The team is currently in the Caribbeans to play a four-match Test series. While he is no more included in the team for the longest format, Harbhajan is still a part of India’s limited-overs team. He was in the Indian squad for this year’s World T20.
