Senior off spinner , Harbhajan Singh has said that though the decision of the selectors has not been pleasing , but he won’t give up and will somehow get into the Indian team.
Harbhajan Singh had a decent IPL this year and looked to attack , rather than just containing the batsman. He finished with 14 wickets and was the 3rd most economical bowler of the tournament . The heartening thing was that most of his wickets were top order batsman and not the ones batting lower down the order.
During his chat with the PTI, he said that he is feeling ignored and that is not a good feeling. His performances in this year’s IPL is for every one to see . He feels he is doing the best ofvwhat he can do and it’s all upto the selectors. He adds that he might have been hurted by this but he will surely comeback into the Indian side. He feels that he was the best Indian spinner in this year’s IPL.
He feels that with age on his side , he will make a comeback. On his recent success, he said that he has bowled well in the past 2 domestic seasons , with a lot of variety and control and has varied the pace of his deliveries.
For this IPL, he said that he bowled slow and looked to give the ball flight and loop and recalls that his only failure came in the famous match against Rajasthan Royals.
Also, he adds that he hates being called a specialist bowler as he feels he is an all rounder. He has more than 1000 runs in the T20 format and when the screen pops up showing him an specialist bowler, he feels bad.
