Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh and England’s Monty Panesar enjoyed each other’s company at the Kia Oval in London ahead of Yorkshire’s Tea20 Charity Challenge, a T20 the between Cricket United XI and Surrey All Stars.
Harbhajan and Panesar were seen chatting for long, probably exchanging notes about their Punjabi homeland.Panesar then posted the below picture on twitter with a message, “Two turbanators together. Singhs is king.”
Bhajji will play for the Adam Hollioake led Surrey All Stars while Darren Sammy will lead Cricket United XI.
Bhaji is currently out of the Indian team and Panesar too unlikely to get a palace in the England team.
While Harbhajan Singh played 103 Test matches for India Panesar played only 50 Test matches.
Harbhajan last played a Test match against Sri Lanka at Galle. Since then he was dropped from the team as he lost the sharpness of his bowling.
But he has already taken 417 wickets in Test cricket while Panesar has taken 167 wickets. In 2012 when England was touring India Panesar played an important role in England’s victory.
In the season-ending charity match organized by Surrey, Cricket United won the game by 1 run.
Meanwhile, England will visit India in November to play a lengthy series the series will comprise of five Test matches, but chances on Monty playing are bleak.
