Harbhajan Singh Lauds Rahul Dravid As Outstanding Catcher, Shares Video

India’s veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh heaped praise on Rahul Dravid for his catching abilities. Dravid had taken some splendid catches in his illustrious career and the Turbanator shared a two-minute video in which Dravid is taking some blinders. Rahul Dravid used to field at first slip during his career and took some great catches. In fact, in Dravid’s formative years, he took some staggering catches while fielding at short-leg or silly point.

Dravid always had a safe pair of hands and he improved with experience. The former Indian skipper took 406 catches in his long career. The Karnataka batsman bagged 210 catches as an outfielder in Test matches, which is the most for any player.

Rahul Dravid was a brilliant fielder

Dravid also took 196 catches in his ODI career out which he took 71 as the keeper of the side. The Wall pulled up the gauntlets in 73 ODIs for the Indian team.

Dravid had a great technique and he kept getting better with experience. In fact, recently Dravid had stated that he wanted to contribute to the team’s success and as he didn’t have great skills as a bowler, he developed his catching skills. It is a famous adage that catches wins you matches and Dravid did a fine job.

Meanwhile, former Indian batsman VVS Laxman and out of favor batsman Suresh Raina also commented on the post and praised Dravid for his catching abilities, which were the best in the world.

Dravid was always known to work hard on his game and he also paid special attention to his catching. The former Indian skipper had sharp reflexes and pulled off amazing catches while fielding at the close-in positions. Dravid had soft hands and he had great concentration which helped him reap rewards as a fielder and thus he was able to help his bowlers.
