Recently, the legendary Australian wicketkeeper-batsman Adam Gilchrist was mourning to become a victim during the Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh’s Test hat-trick. Later, Harbhajan slammed Gilchrist for crying on that issue.
The Indian cricket fans have recalled Harbhajan Singh’s hat-trick memory in 2001 Kolkata Test after the Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah recently claimed a Test hat-trick during the Kingston Test. Bumrah was the third Indian bowler to claim a Test hat-trick. Off-spinner Harbhajan Singh was the first Indian and the left-arm pacer Irfan Pathan was the second Indian to claim a Test hat-trick.

On 11th March 2001, Harbhajan Singh claimed his Test hat-trick against Australia during the Kolkata Test. Harbhajan completed that hat-trick after dismissing Ricky Ponting, Adam Gilchrist and Shane Warne in three consecutive deliveries. Ponting and Gilchrist lost their wickets through the lbw while Warne was brilliantly caught out by Sadagoppan Ramesh at the short leg.
However, some cricket fans still believe that Gilchrist’s dismissal was doubtful. They feel that Harbhajan’s delivery to Gilchrist pitched outside the leg which could deny that dismissal.
Shane Warne’s dismissal was also questionable from the back angle. It was not clear whether the ball touched the pitch before that brilliant caught out or not.
After watching Harbhajan Singh’s hat-trick video on Twitter, Gilchrist posted a crying emoji along with mentioning “No DRS”. He believes that Harbhajan could fail to manage that hat-trick if they had the Decision Review System (DRS).

Angry Harbhajan Singh called Adam Gilchrist to not cry
Harbhajan Singh didn’t take that post lightly. He slammed Gilchrist for that tweet and told him to stop crying over these things.
The off-spinner wrote on his official Twitter account, “U think u would have survived for long if not first ball ? Stop crying over these things mate..thought u would talk sense after ur playing days.. but few things never change u r the prime example of that. Always crying ?

However, later, the Indian off-spinner deleted that tweet.
