Promising batsman Manish Pandey revealed it is a different facet to when you bat at different positions, as he believes the gentleman’s game is all about pure intention and sheer hard work to dominate owing to such control and the passion for gentleman’s game.
“It is completely different when you are playing number three, four or six. It is all about the mindset. It is about aggressiveness,” Pandey was quoted as saying by PTI.
The 28-year-old top-order batsman from Nainital, Pandey has vowed to spend quality time at the crease to leave a solid impact while playing for the competitive unit.
“I would like to spend more time on the wicket to make myself feel at ease at the crease,” Pandey asserted.
Before the fourth ODI against struggling Steven Smith-led Australia, Pandey is sweating it out — to perform and win more matches for his country.
“I would like to play more games and win matches for India. I am doing the hard work to try and find a place for me in the playing XI,” Pandey added.

Moreover, Pandey considers Australia is still a stronger opponent while reiterating the side has done quite well particularly with the ball, but couples of things were missing which included the quality fielding within the Australian team.
“I think they are doing really well, but some of the things are not clicking for them. Their top-order is getting runs, but not the middle-order,” Pandey said.
In the third Indore ODI against Australia, Pandey hit the winning runs to hand India a 3-0 series victory over visitors with two matches to be held in Bengaluru and Nagpur.
“Definitely, there is pressure in the middle-order,” Pandey concluded.
