Team India all-rounder Hardik Pandya has faced the wrath ever since he was involved in the popular TV show Koffee with Karan alongside KL Rahul. The duo was in the news for getting carried away which eventually left their career in limbo. Notably, Baroda-based all-rounder Pandya weathered criticism over social media. Pandya seems again in trouble as the advocate in Jodhpur, Rajasthan has lodged a case against the former.
The reports suggested police at Luni police station has registered the case under SC/ST act. It came following the ‘sexist’ and ‘misogynistic’ remarks of Pandya-Rahul, last month.
Pandya who has often made an appearance with fresh hairdo further took many by surprise with his recent comments.
Eventually, following the disturbing comments, it resulted in the suspension of Pandya and Rahul on January 11. Thus, the duo missed on the limited-overs series in Australia. Moreover, Pandya missed featuring in the first two One-day Internationals (ODIs) of the five-match Netmeds series.
However, the interim suspension was lifted pending an inquiry by the Committee of Administrators (CoA) on January 24.
Thus, it pushed the case for Pandya’s inclusion in Men in Blue’s squad for the Black Caps series.
Pandya on his return in third ODI conceded 45 runs in 10 overs for his two scalps which further saw him taking a sensational catch of Kiwis skipper Kane Williamson. To attribute it, Pandya made a substantial impact with the bat. He smashed 22-ball 45.
Also, India won the game by 35 runs to clinch the ODI series 4-1
In the fifth ODI, Pandya showcased his batting potential, slamming 45 off 22 including five sixes to help India win the game by 35 runs.
On the other side, opening batsman Lokesh Rahul made a return in India A squad during the recently-culminated series against England Lions-led by Sam Billings. The host clinched the series 4-1.
