Harsh Goenka impressed with India Women’s

Harsh Goenka, as we all know is a brother of the owner of the Rising Pune Super Giant team in the IPL. He’s the chairman of RPG Enterprises. After India lost the final of the Women’s World Cup, Harsh Goenka took to twitter to put his thoughts on India women’s campaign in the Women’s World Cup.

Here is what he tweeted-

According to him, India women’s lost because of boiling nerves. It is a young team and holding nerves in a pressure final is something very few people are capable of. However, he also said that we should celebrate the women’s team performance of reaching the final. And why not? They have played their heart in this World Cup. Although, the World Cup didn’t reach their hands, India women have made 1.2 billion Indians proud today.

Harsh Goenka and his brother Sanjiv Goenka pulled MS Dhoni’s leg in this edition of the IPL and expressed their not so good relationship with their tweets. It is good to see Goenka tweeting something positive after a long time. It was indeed a courageous performance from India women.

India women played their 2nd final after 2005, and lost for the second time too, after coming so close, losing by 9 runs. At one stage, anyone watching the match would have concluded that India will win. Although the pressure of the final and Punam Raut’s wicket at the wrong time, gave England the opening they wanted. In the end, 228 proved to be just enough for India women as they fell short by 9 runs. Many things didn’t go as per script, Veda’s rash shot, Mithali’s run out, Harmanpreet Kaur getting caught in the deep. However, these things happen in a crunch final and India women will learn from it.

The day is not far, when India women will win their first ever trophy. All the best to the young team. They played well.
