Harsha Bhogle and Sourav Ganguly go back together a really long way. The duo have been undoubted legends in their respective sectors of cricket and have been genuine ambassadors for the sport of cricket. While Ganguly is worshipped across the globe for his idealism and way of leading a side, Bhogle is looked upon as an inspiration for being down to earth and speaking what matters the most.
In his recent tweet, Bhogle got nostalgic as he remembered a young Sourav Ganguly playing his first ever test innings at Lord’s exactly 20 years ago. Bhogle, in his own words, had the privilege of being on air for Ganguly’s debut century, which kick-started a completely new era in Indian cricket. Below, is the tweet where Bhogle mentions about that knock from Sourav Ganguly.
20 years ago, a young man walked out to bat in a test match for the 1st time. Privileged to be on air when the century came! @SGanguly99

Recently, Bhogle also heaped praises on the Price of Kolkata for his initiative to launch day and night tests in India. “Pink ball cricket indeed is the way forward. Test cricket’s popularity has been steadily declining and we must do something to arrest the slide. The pink ball Test in Australia last year received overwhelmingly positive response from the fans and we must embrace the change,” Bhogle recently said about Ganguly.
Looks like the #PinkBall match has been a big success. If not anything else, good experiment. Nice initiative from CAB and @SGanguly99
