It might be too soon to say, but cricket has a new star in the making in Pakistani fast bowler Hasan Ali. Ali was the joint highest wicket taker in the 2017 Champion’s Trophy held in England in June which Pakistan eventually won. He troubled batsmen of every country with his fiery spells of fast bowling. He took a total of 13 wickets in five matches he played in the Champion’s Trophy.

Ali made his ODI debut in August 2016 against Ireland, and since then He has played 21 ODI’s for Pakistan and has picked up 42 wickets at an average of 22. He already has two five wicket hauls to his name in ODI’s. With cricket set to resume in Pakistan as World XI team will play a three match T20 series against Pakistan in Pakistan, Ali is excited to have the touring team in his country. No Test playing nation except for Zimbabwe and Afghanistan has traveled to the country after the 2009 terrorist attacks on the Sri Lankan team. Eight people died, and nine people were wounded which included some Sri Lankan players in the attack. Since then Pakistan has hosted its home matches in UAE.
Many leading cricketers like Faf Du Plessis and Hashim Amla have decided to travel and participate in the three-match series in Pakistan. Many Pakistan players from the current squad will play their first international match in their home country, Hasan Ali is one of them and Coincidently Lahore where all the games will be played in his home town. He said:
“This is my first international match on my home ground in Pakistan. I’m very excited to play in front of my home crowd on my home ground.”
He also revealed that who will be his target on this tour, and its none other than South African Hashim Amla. Ali said:
“The World XI is a good team, it has very good players, I will try to bowl well to all of them. Especially I would like to out Brother Hashim Amla, it would give me more pleasure.”
