Haseeb Hameed wins Asian Young Player award 1

Uncapped England batsman Haseeb Hameed was named the Young Player of the Year at the Asian Cricket Awards last week at the Kia Oval.

The Lancashire batsman has enjoyed his first full season at the county club. Haseeb Hameed has hit four centuries and seven half-centuries at an average of 50 for Lancashire. Hameed  hit his maiden first-class century against Warwickshire at Emirates Old Trafford, before further hundreds against Nottinghamshire and then two against Yorkshire! The former England Under -19 International was awarded his Lancashire County Cap, the youngest Red Rose player to awarded the honour since the war.

Hameed received a call from ECB for England’s tour of Bangladesh which will start from October 7. Hameed selected for the Test team.

In the wake of terrorist attack at a Dhaka café many English players skipped the series, so ECB has  infused Haseeb Hameed in their rank.

Hameed is a talented cricketer who  has temperament and technique to play good cricket.

England will five ODIs and two Test matches against Bangladesh. The first Test will start on October 20 and the second Test  will commence from October 28.

England following the Test series will visit India for grueling a 5 match series. In 2012 they defeated India, so this time with a balanced side they will vie for another victory in India.
