We haven’t done anything wrong, we will not apologize: Mortaza 1
Mashrafe Mortaza

Bangladesh captain Mashrafae Mortaza has ruled out any possibilities of offering an apology to England cricket team. “Actually we didn’t do anything wrong so we shouldn’t apologize,” the Bangladesh captain said on reaching Chittagong.

“I feel, we just celebrated, we don’t have to say sorry but whatever the things happened, match referee was there,

“I saw the video and I didn’t find any fault of Tamim or my player,” he said.

“We went very normally to shake hands with the players, we were normal.

“When we lost the first match, we were normal back then as well, and even after winning the second match we went to shake hands normally.

“I don’t want to blame anyone, but if you speak of Tamim’s fault then I will tell you that I have seen the video as well and I was there ahead of Tamim at that point of time”. concluded captain.

Bangladesh players and England batsman Jos Butler were involved in an ugly spat when the Bangladesh players performed wild celebrations on the dismissal of England captain Jos Butler. The wild celebrations irked Jos Butler who later hurled few words at Bangladesh players to which Bangladesh players responded in the same way which led to a heated exchange between the two parties.

Jos Butler later termed the celebrations as ‘over the top’ and said that he should have left the field without caring much about that.

However, Ben Stokes, the England all-rounder added fuel to the fire by grabbing the collar of Bangladesh star player Tamim Iqbal as he thought that Iqbal has done something wrong.

Later, Mashrafe Mortaza and Sabbir Rehman were fined 20% of their match fees whereas Jos Butler was officially reprimanded by the officials. In addition to that, one demerit point was also added to the players account for this ugly spat.

Both the team will now meet in the third and the final ODI which is to be played at Chittagong. There high chances of rain playing spoilsport thus spoiling the Bangladesh plans.ECB has already turned down the request of BCB for a reserve day which now pushes the final ODI in a hole.

There is an even chance of series ending in a draw which may further add irk the Bangladesh players.
