Australia allrounder Cameron Green has talked about Virat Kohli ahead of the mouth-watering ICC World Test Championship final between India and Australia.

Both India and Australia are eyeing their first-ever ICC WTC title. While India will be playing their second final, Australia are gearing up for the first. India played the inaugural final too in 2021 but ended up losing the game against New Zealand. The Rohit Sharma-led side will be desperate to make amends this time and end India’s long wait for an ICC trophy.

Australia will also be looking to add another global title to their kitty. The Pat Cummins-led side stormed into the ICC WTC final after finishing the WTC cycle at the top of the points table. The condition and their bowling attack definitely make them slight favorites. But one man who can spoil their party is Virat Kohli and Cameron Green is well aware of the threat.

Speaking to ICC, the Australia star admitted that the former India skipper will be one of the biggest threats for his team in the WTC final. Cameron Green pointed out Kohli’s penchant of delivering on the big occasions.

“Virat Kohli. I think he always tries to be the man to stand up in big moments,” Green said. “A World Test Championship is obviously a massive moment, so I look forward to that.”

Virat Kohli’s record against Australia:

Virat Kohli has a solid record against Australia in Tests. The 34-year old has played 24 Tests against Australia so far and has scored 1979 runs at an average of more than 48. He has also hit 8 fifties against the Aussies in the longest format of the game and would be keen to score big in the WTC final.

The India superstar has also returned to his form in recent times. Last year, he ended his century drought and recently had a good outing in the IPL where he scored 639 runs in 14 matches.
