It is surprising to see someone who bagged 15 wickets in his last five ODI’s hasn’t been part of the squad since then. Mishra was exceptional especially in the final ODI against New Zealand during the limited-overs series last year and also won the Man of the Series Award.
Young spinners like Axar Patel and Yuzvendra Chahal have been picked over him and it is nothing strange given he is a very inconsistent bowler in the team.
