Sourav Ganguly
Sourav Ganguly was the skipper of the team. He opened the innings in the match Dhoni was run-out off the second delivery of the match. Dhoni played under Ganguly for close to a year before Dada retired after the 2008 Border – Gavaskar series. He is currently the president of the Cricket Association of Bengal and also leads the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) which is entrusted with helping the BCCI elect the Head Coach of India.
