2. Rohit Sharma-177

Rohit Sharma, who recently had got the place in Test as an opener, played as a middle-order batsman on his Test debut. And to surprise many, he was equally flawless in middle-order as he is now as an opener.
On his Test debut against the West Indies in 2013 in Kolkata, Rohit Sharma batted at number six. Rohit stitched up the partnership of 208 along with Ravichandran Ashwin when India struggled at 156 for six. The hit-man mustered 177 runs off 301 deliveries while Ashwin scored 124 off 210 balls. Eventually, India won the match by an innings and 51 runs.
