Pakistani pacer Sohail Tanvir demolished Australia’s batting line-up who managed to score 164/7 in the first innings. In reply, Australia also enjoyed early success as they dismissed four Pakistani batsmen within seven overs. However, the skipper Shoaib Malik and Misbah-ul-Haq changed the game scenario.

Malik remained unbeaten and scored 52 off 38 balls, striking two sixes and four boundaries. His batting partner Misbah went on to smack seven boundaries and scored 66* off 42 balls. The duo set up a mature partnership of 119* runs for the fifth wicket and ushered Pakistan to victory.
