3. Herschelle Gibbs and Justin Kemp: 120* runs against West Indies

In the same match, Chris Gayle and Devon Smith mustered the highest partnership of the tournament, Herschelle Gibbs and Justin Kemp also struck a powerful partnership which led them to victory.
West Indies had given a mammoth target of 206 runs to South Africa but it still fell short in front of Gibbs’ power-hitting. The Proteas opening batsman scored unbeaten 90 runs off 55 balls at the startling strike-rate of 163.63.
Kemp garnered not out 46 runs off 22 balls and set up 120* runs partnership with Gibbs which helped South Africa to chase down the target and register a win by eight wickets. It became the third-highest partnership of ICC T20 World Cup 2007.
