2. Kamran Akmal and Salman Butt: 142 runs vs Bangladesh
Bangladesh and Pakistan played their first match against each other in the ICC T20 World Cup 2010 tournament at Gros Islet. This was a highly intense match as both teams were strong competitors.
Pakistan’s opening pair Kamran Akmal and Salman Butt began the match with setting up a strong partnership as they fired up boundaries and dismantled Bangladesh’s bowling line up. They together put up 142 runs on the board for the first wicket. With the help of their partnership, Pakistan posted 173 runs target for the Tigers.
Eventually, the Green Army won the match by 21 runs, however, Bangladesh middle-order batsmen Mohammad Ashraful and Shakib Al Hasan mustered 91 runs partnership.
