*Stats updated till 5 February, 2015
There have been 12 instances when a batting pair has scored 200 or more runs in a World Cup match. Of the 12, India has been a part of 5 such instances the most by any team.
The partnership between Soura Ganguly and Rahul Dravid of 318 runs against Sri Lanka in the 1999 World Cup tops the list. This is the only instance when a pair has scored 300 or more runs in a World Cup match. Sourav Ganguly is the only player to be featured thrice in this list. Whereas the pair of Upul Tharanga and Tillakratne Dilshan have made it to the list twice.
Another thing to make note of in the Indian records is that apart from the first partnership of 318 runs all other have come against non test playing nations such as Namibia, Kenya, Bermuda, leaving apart Bangladesh.
