Chittagong, BANGLADESH: Australian cricketer Jason Gillespie raises his bat and helmet as he celebrates scoring a century (100 runs) during the third day of the second Test match between Bangladesh and Australia at The Chittagong Divisional Stadium in Chittagong, 18 April 2006. Gillespie is not out on 102 as Australia have advanced to 364 runs for the loss of three wickets, after dismissing Bangladesh for just 197 in their first innings. AFP PHOTO/ Farjana K. Jason Gillespie (Australia):

The tall fast bowler from Australia, Jason Gillespie was a dangerous customer with the ball. However, he at times showed what he is capable of doing with the bat and made Bangladesh pay with a double century at the fag end of his career in Chittagong.

Australia scored 581 as Gillespie scored a double hundred coming to bat late in the day after the fall of the first wicket. He managed to stay at the crease for 5 and a half hours as he scored an unbeaten 201  at a strike-rate of around 50 as he stuck a huge partnership with Michael Hussey who lost his wicket at 182. This is still the highest score by night watchmen in Test cricket.
